Leadership Opportunities

Did you visit campus and have the opportunity to tour a room with a guide?  Would you like to be a guide for us or have your room be one of the rooms we show prospective students? We know that students and parents like to see an "actual" room and not a room decorated by Residence Life staff, so we are always looking for a few rooms to show what a lived in room looks like. We also need students to host prospective students every now and then. If you are interested in having your room be one of our tour rooms or if you would like to host a prospective student, please call the Residence Life office.

An RA is a student leader who lives on a floor and helps create community, plan programs and activities, and helps make sure people within the rules. Interested in becoming an RA?  The application process starts in January to hire staff for the next year, so look for the flyers that will be put up around the halls and emails for information about applying. Applicants need to have a 2.5 GPA or higher and must have good judicial standing.

An RD is someone who was an RA for at least a year, has a 2.75 GPA or higher and has demonstrated leadership and supervision qualities. The RD selection process happens at the same time as the RA selection process.
