Student Terms of Use

Programs and services offered by Lewis-Clark State College’s Student Employment – Career Center (hereinafter referred to as SECC) are offered as a courtesy service to help connect students and employers.

SECC contracts with Handshake, an online career development system, to provide students and alumni with a resource for job listings, resume services and on-campus interview scheduling. For more information about Handshake’s terms of services visit Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy.

The SECC is in no way involved in the actual transaction(s) between employers and candidates. As a result, the SECC cannot guarantee the authenticity of either the employer or candidate statements as declared in any of the documents provided in Handshake.

Furthermore, the SECC may or may not review postings placed through Handshake before they are posted. Users are urged to research postings and use discretion when applying for positions. Do not disclose social security information, bank account numbers, credit card information or other highly sensitive information when applying for jobs and internships.

Collection and access to student information is governed by LCSC and federal policy under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), as well as the LCSC’s Appropriate use Policy for Technology. Information collected will be used by Career Services to provide tailored services to users. Student/alumni data may also be used by Career Services for reporting purposes to assist in program improvements. Data used will be in aggregate form only.
