The following programs in the Technical & Industrial Division require a shop consultation prior to registering for courses.

These programs are:

  • Auto Mechanics
  • Diesel Technology
  • Fire Service
  • Welding Technology

During these consultations, students will tour the shop and have the opportunity to speak with faculty about program expectations, coursework, and potential career paths. This will help the student make an informed decision regarding their interest in the program, as each program has specific test score requirements, physical demands, and tool requirements.

For Diesel Technology and Auto Mechanics, students will be required to sign a ‘Vehicle Use Agreement’ form and submit a copy of their driver’s license. This ensures they are covered by insurance and authorized to operate the vehicles they will service as part of the program.
