Create a New Class - Info for Instructors

Lewis-Clark State College follows the policies and procedures of the Idaho Department of Education when offering a course for credit. In-service courses for recertification must meet the requirements set in place in order to count as one of the six (6) credits required every five (5) years to maintain your teaching certificate.

Idaho Department of Education guidelines, listed at the Renewal of an Idaho Certificate website, state that fifteen (15) contact hours are equivalent to one (1) in-service credit.

To create a Teacher In-Service course, please complete the steps laid out in Checklist for Instructors. Submit all required documents, including a course syllabus, to: [email protected].

Once the course has been approved and the registration forms, along with payment, have been collected, please submit them to the Teacher Education Division Office in Spalding Hall. Documents can be submitted in person or mailed to:
