Types of Aid
The LC State Financial Aid Office is here to assist students in finding ways to meet the cost of education. Check out the variety of financial aid resources, based on both need and achievement, available to help you pay for school. The process starts by completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at studentaid.gov.
Scholarships and Waivers
Scholarships and waivers are funds that do not need to be repaid. A variety of scholarships and waivers are available on need, non-need and merit basis. LC State's priority scholarship deadline is March 1.
Grants are funds that do not need to be repaid. They are based on need as determined by the completion of the FAFSA each academic year.
Work-Study provides students with on-campus part-time employment, helping them to earn money to help pay educational expenses, while enrolled in school.
Loans are funds that will need to be repaid once the student leaves school. Loan eligibility determination begins with the completion of the FAFSA each year.
