Financial Aid for Graduate Students
Students in LC State's Graduate Certificate Programs may be eligible for Title IV funding.
Available Aid
- Must complete a FAFSA at studentaid.gov.
- Direct loan eligibility amounts will now be subject to enrollment intensity requirements.
- If you are enrolled less than full-time (in at least 9 credit hours) during the semester (for example, enrolled in 7 credit hours for a semester), your federal loan eligibility will be reduced proportionally based on your enrollment rather than being eligible for the full annual loan limit.
- Must be enrolled at least half-time (5 or more credits) each semester.
- Enrollment changes matter - changes in your enrollment status (such as dropping courses, withdrawing, or attending less than full-time) may result in recalculations of your loan amount and future disbursements.
- Maximum annual loan amount is $20,500 (cannot exceed total cost of attendance).
- Fixed interest rate for the 2026-2027 academic year is 8.07%.
- A 1.057% loan fee is proportionately deducted from each loan disbursement.
- LC State students can explore private/alternative loan options with Sparrow, a financial engine that can provide you with the information you need to select the best loan to meet your needs.
- Application process is completed directly through lender's website.
- Must be enrolled at least half-time (5 or more credits) each semester.
- Maximum loan amount is the total cost of attendance minus any other financial aid received.
