Emalissa Espinosa
Major: Social Work
Hometown: Reubens, ID
Interests: Anything outdoors (hunting, fishing, hiking), cooking/baking and spending time with family/friends.
Why LC State? LC State is the right fit for me because it’s close to home, offers tons of new opportunities, and makes it easy to build strong connections with professors and other students.
Favorite LC State Event: Art Under the Elms (AUE)! I love how it brings together the community, nearby areas, and students — there's always great energy and lots of ways to get involved.

Richie Vecchio
Major: Kinesiology: Exercise Science
Hometown: Pomeroy, WA
Interests: Spending time with friends, playing sports, driving and fishing.
Why LC State? The small class sizes, supportive professors, and great people make it my ideal place to learn and grow.
Favorite LC State Tradition: The NAIA World Series and intramural sports leagues like basketball and volleyball — they make campus life fun and bring students together.

Rayne Martinez
Major: Elementary Education
Hometown: Kooskia, Idaho
Interests: I love playing softball, reading, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with friends.
Why LC State? I chose LC State because of its excellent education program, affordable tuition, and how close it is to home. Plus, it offers opportunities I wouldn’t get at a bigger school — it just feels like the right fit.
Favorite LC State Event: Homecoming events are my favorite! They give students a chance to get involved, meet new people, and boost campus spirit right at the start of the semester.

Asante Nyakundi
Major: Psychology with a minor in Spanish
Hometown: Nairobi, Kenya
Interests: I’m all about anything involving food, fun, and the outdoors, but I also love meaningful conversations, discovering new cultures, and traveling. Growing up I was on several sport teams, but when I started college and became a NARP (non athletic regular person) I find fulfillment in working out, talking long walks and coaching others than are in sports I played.
Why LC State? I chose LC State because the Psychology program stood out as more diverse than others nearby, and I knew the same strong reputation from nursing and CTE carried over to other departments, plus the professors really care and support students.
Favorite LC State Event: I love Mystery Van because it’s unpredictable and always fun!

Brooke Blaydes
Major: Secondary Education: Mathematics
Hometown: Clarkston, WA
Interests: All kinds of sports, reading, being outside when it’s warm, and spending time with friends and family.
Why LC State? I chose LC State because it has a great teacher education program, is small and close to home, and is affordable for students.
Favorite LC State Event: I've enjoyed Plant-A-Buddy for the cute plants, volleyball games because they’re fun to watch, and the Christmas craft fair for browsing and finding gifts..

Interests: I’m into politics, world geography, music (R&B and rap), reading, Hamilton, and anything that gives an adrenaline rush.

Favorite LC State Event: Homecoming is my favorite because, even as a smaller school, we always find fun and unique ways to celebrate.

Interests: I enjoy music, art, crochet, reading, swimming, shopping, video games, and watching TV.
Why LC State? LC State has a beautiful campus, affordable tuition, kind and helpful staff, and an amazing community with lots of fun activities.
Favorite LC State Event: I loved the Glow Paint Party for the music and dancing with friends, and the Powwow and Native American Week events for the incredible food, regalia, and traditions.

Lizette Ohlund
Major: Accounting

Interests: I enjoy working out, spending time in nature, and being involved right in the middle of all the action.
Why LC State? I love that I’m a name, not just a number here, and the small class sizes and personal connections with professors and staff have made a huge difference.
Favorite LC State Event: Parents Weekend and Art Under the Elms are my favorites because I love showing off my school and everything I’ve accomplished.

Interests: I enjoy running, whether it’s racing at cross country meets or taking a walk after class, and I love reading books of all kinds, especially on history, economics, and fiction.
Why LC State? I chose LC State because it’s a small school with great weather, plenty of opportunities, and small classes that make connecting with professors and peers easy.
Favorite LC State Event: Fiesta en LC was awesome to experience a new culture through music and dance, and I always enjoy cheering on classmates at sporting events.

Favorite LC State Event: Warriors Got Talent was my favorite because it was the first event I truly participated in and made me feel how welcoming campus could be.
