What is accreditation?
The purpose of accreditation is to assure the quality of institutions' educational programs and services. The accreditation process requires institutions to examine their missions, operations, and achievements. The accrediting agency then provides recommendations for improvements and accomplishments. If the accrediting agency's established requirements are met, accreditation is granted.
