39th annual Art Under the Elms is April 18-20

LEWISTON, Idaho – A record 75 artisan vendors are scheduled to participate in the 39th annual Art Under the Elms on April 18-20 at Lewis-Clark State College. 

The event, organized by the LC State Center for Arts & History, has something for the entire family and is free and open to the public as part of the Center’s commitment to making the arts more accessible. 

This year features the artisan marketplace, food vendors, musical performances, hands-on activities for children in the Children’s Art Tent, dances, and poetry and prose readings. A list of the artisan vendors registered for the event can be found at the Art Under the Elms website www.lcsc.edu/cah/art-under-the-elms. 

Registered food vendors this year include Inland Empire Concessions, The Battleground, Totally Nutz, Billy’s Shave Ice, Smashhouse, Chili Blues, Happy Day, Simple Swirl Dessert, LC State’s Native American Club Indian Tacos, and Genie’s Catering and Azars.  

Hours for the artisan marketplace, food trucks, and SUB Amphitheater entertainment are noon-7 p.m. on April 18, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on April 19, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on April 20. 

The event coincides with LC State’s Family Weekend, which brings families and friends of current students as well as alumni to campus. 

Art Under the Elms is sponsored by ICCU, Rogers Motors, and the Center for Arts & History.

Friday, April 18 

  • 12-12:15 p.m. – LC State dance team performance in SUB Amphitheater.  

  • 12:30- 2:30 p.m. – Normal Hill Band playing SUB Amphitheater.  

  • 2:45-4:45 p.m. – Red Light Challenge playing in SUB Amphitheater. 

  • 5-7 p.m. – General Mojos playing in SUB Amphitheater. 

Saturday, April 19 

  • 10 a.m.-10:25 a.m. – LC State Folklorico Dancers performance in SUB Amphitheater, 

  • 10:45-11:30 a.m. – Oinkari Basque Dancers performance in SUB Amphitheater. 

  • 12-2 p.m. – Raza Northwest playing in SUB Amphitheater. 

  • 2:30-4:30 p.m. – Calico Bones playing in SUB Amphitheater. 

  • 5-7 p.m. – Blaze & Kelly playing in SUB Amphitheater. 

Sunday April 20 

  • 10-11:30 a.m. – LC State student readings in SUB Amphitheater. 

  • 2-4 p.m. – Andru Gomez playing in SUB Amphitheater.
