The paraprofessional education program prepares teaching assistants to work in K-12 schools in special education, reading, or ENL programs.
The program articulates with the core requirements of the elementary education program while providing instruction on improving student learning.
Students will:
- Gain skills to work in K-12 schools in special education, reading, or ENL programs.
- Receive instruction on improving student learning alongside classroom teachers.
This degree is designed for teaching assistants and early childhood care providers. A variety of education, reading, and special education classes are part of the curriculum, along with program electives.
