Which English Class Do I Take?

English Placement

English courses are determined by test scores.

The Advising Center uses the following tests for placement into ENGL 101, 102 and 103: ACT, SAT or ISAT.

If you do not have a test score you will be placed in ENGL 101 and ENGL 103 together.

ENGL 103 is a support course designed to help students succeed in ENGL 101.

Students can take the WPE (English Placement Exam) at the LC State Testing Center if they do not have a test score or if they would like to test into a higher course.
