The Title IX Team refers to the Title IX Coordinator, any deputy coordinators, and any member of the Grievance Process Pool.

Members of the Grievance Process Pool include any investigators, hearing officers, appeal officers, and Advisors who may perform any or all of these roles.

The person or persons charged by LC State with gathering facts about an alleged violation of policy 3.110, assessing relevance and credibility, synthesizing the evidence, and compiling this information into an investigation report and file of directly related evidence.

Refers to those who have decision-making and sanctioning authority within LC State's Formal Grievance Process.  At the hearing, the decision-makers have the authority to hear and make determinations on all allegations of discrimination, harassment, and/or retaliation.

A three-member panel designated by the Title IX Coordinator who will review any request for an appeal; the review is not a review of the merits of the appeal, but solely a determination as to whether the request meets the grounds for an appeal and is timely filed.  No appeal panelists will have been involved in the process previously.

A person chosen by a party or appointed by LC State to accompany the party to meetings related to the resolution process, to advise the party on that process, and to conduct cross-examination for the party at the hearing, if any.
