- Idaho businesses in all career fields
- For-profit and not-for-profit, non-profit businesses
- LC State departments and divisions
- Receive 150 hours of high-quality work from motivated and engaged students, per semester
- Be a part of the workforce development pipeline
- Help students build a professional network
- Worksites apply to join the program
- Approved worksites interview students
- Students work roughly 10 hours per week during the academic year, with a total of 150 hours per semester (16 weeks/semester)
- Supervisors meet with Work Scholars at regular intervals to make sure students are on track to succeed in their chosen career field
We allow worksites to apply twice a year, during the Fall and Spring semesters.
- Potential worksites complete and submit a worksite application and job description by semester deadlines
- Applications are reviewed by the LC Work Scholars Panel
- Approved worksites will interview prospective students
- When a worksite has selected a student, the worksite contributes a cash match to be paid toward the LC Work Scholar's stipend

- Identify your designated supervisor for the Work Scholar position and have them fill out the application
- Be award of how you plan on submitting your cash match contribution at the start of the semester, if you get a Work Scholar
- Identify an official job title for the position you plan on having the Work Scholar do, as well as a full job description that you will need to fill out in the application
- All approved Worksite Supervisors and Work Scholars must attend mandatory orientations at the beginning of each semester to help ensure success for both you and the student
