2024 Idita-Walk Challenge
Step into the inaugural LC State Idita-Walk Challenge, where the thrill of the famed Iditarod Race meets the stride of your team's determination. With a goal set at 975 miles—the entire length of the Iditarod—your journey begins now. But fear not, for every step you take, every activity you engage in, propels your team closer to the finish line. Whether it's a brisk walk at dawn, a yoga session at noon, or a snap of a selfie on a Warrior Wellness Walk, there are myriad ways to accrue miles each day. So lace up your shoes, synchronize your Fitbits, and let the adventure begin!
How to Gain Miles:
Beat the lead sled dog team to the Ophir checkpoint (352 miles) = 10 Miles
Beat the lead sled dog team to the Unalakleet checkpoint (714 miles) = 10 Miles
10,000 + Steps = 20 Miles
6,000 – 9,999 Steps = 15 Miles
4,000 – 5,999 Steps = 10 Miles
2,000 – 3,999 Steps = 5 Miles
>2,000 Steps = 0 Miles
Attend a Warrior Wellness Walk = 5 Miles
30 Minute Workout = 5 Miles
Snap a selfie while working out or walking, post on social media, and tag both major sponsors along with LC State HRS (stories are allowed!) = 5 Miles
