LC State's Future Educator Conference
Keynote Speaker- Trent Derrick
Know students who have a passion for content and a personality for teaching? Most of us became teachers because of a teacher in our own K-12 lives. Please bring your students who are intrigued by the opportunity to teach in any content area or grade level, and give them the opportunity to explore a future in teaching.
We provide a phenomenal day of hands-on exploration, a delicious lunch, and LC State swag!

Keynote Speaker:
Trent Derrick serves as the Executive Director of Secondary Education for the Coeur d’Alene School District, where he leads with a deep commitment to empowering every learner to thrive—now and in the future. Over the course of his multi-decade career as a teacher, principal, and district leader, Trent has helped shape innovative instructional practices, strengthen school culture, and build collaborative teams dedicated to student success. His work is grounded in a belief that great leadership begins with authenticity, relational trust, and a willingness to walk alongside others in their growth. Outside of his professional life, Trent and his wife, Deb, will celebrate their 39th wedding anniversary this July, and nothing brings him more joy than time spent with their three sons, their wonderful daughters-in-law, and their two grandsons. He brings to every audience not only his experience, but a genuine passion for people, learning, and the promise of what students can become.
