  • Nancy Johnston and student Melanie Managquill received the Poster Presentation Award at the Annual INBRE Conference, Summer 2018 for their outstanding research project presentation, Seasonal and temporal effects on reduced sulfur and volatile organic compounds present in ambient air of the Lewis-Clark Valley.

  • Kerensa Allison took students to the Applied Anthropology Conference in Portland, OR.   March 19-23, 2019.
  • Heidee McMillin and Angela Wartel took students to tour two Boise prisons. March 26, 2019.
  • Amy Canfield accompanied 3 students, Meghan Castle, Katrina Cook, and Corina Larson, to the American Culture Association Conference in Washington, DC. All 3 students, along with Dr. Canfield, presented their research and visited the National Archives.
  • Kerensa Allison and her Anthropology Field School class visited Ecuador from May 11 to  June 2, 2019.  While there, students lived with host families, spent time in both rural and urban areas, engaged in service learning activities, toured historically significant sites, and studied Spanish and Kichwa (an indigenous language).
  • Amanda VanLanen and her Public History class created an exhibit for the Nez Perce County Society titled “That’s Entertainment: A History of Theaters in Nez Perce County”. The exhibit opened in May and is ongoing.
