The Lewis-Clark State College Library Archive’s purpose is to collect, preserve, arrange and make available historical and social records of the College and to keep a primary source record of the events of preceding years and thoughts of past generations.

LC State Archives is a closed archive, we kindly request visits be arranged several days in advance.
The College Archives documents the history of Lewis-Clark State College, under is various names, from 1893 to present.
1893 - Lewiston State Normal School (LSNS)
1947 - Northern Idaho College of Education (NICE)
1955 - Lewis-Clark Normal School (LCNS)
1971 - Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC)
LCSC Archives Research
The Library Director will assist with research related to LCSC's history and institutional records. Please schedule an appointment with the Library Director for Archival research.
General Use Policy
Materials available in the Archives are subject to copyright law with respect to photo duplication and publication. Researchers are asked to respect the material by handling it correctly and carefully. Like the Library, the Archives support the research needs of currently enrolled students, current faculty, administrators, and staff. In addition, LCSC alumni, former faculty and staff, and others are welcome to use the collection.
Scope
The Archives is specifically concerned with the administrative and historical records of Lewis-Clark State College from its beginnings in 1893 to the present day. Among the materials collected are:

- College newspapers
- Letters
- Memorabilia
- Photographs
- Posters
- Programs
- Publications
- Yearbooks
The selection and acquisition of materials will be made by the Library Director.
