Majors at LC
Students intending to become medical doctors, veterinarians, dentists, pharmacists, physical and occupational therapists, optometrists and related careers complete a bachelor's degree and then go on to a graduate professional school (e.g. medical school). Each graduate professional school has its own requirements for admissions. Here are some common undergraduate majors:
- Many students select Biology for their bachelors' degree because it covers most of the courses required by graduate professional schools.
- Pre-physical therapy students typically select Exercise Science.
Your advisor will be an important resource to help you make sure that you are meeting requirements of the graduate professional school that you plan to attend.
