We offer a wide variety of short-term courses to help you obtain your career goals while getting hands on experience in that field.

Assistance with Medications is designed for Idaho's unlicensed assistive personnel to aid in the administration of medications to individuals in their home or group facility, as delegated by a nurse. This class is open to any person who would benefit from the additional knowledge provided. Assistance with Medications can be provided as a custom course for facilities.

The hybrid version of CNA training allows you to complete the theory portion of the course online while attending the skill labs on campus. Students must also attend 40 hours of clinical training at facilities across the region. Basic computer skills and high speed internet access required. Upon successful completion of this course, students must pass Idaho required skill and written exams to be placed on the Idaho CNA Registry.

Exam fees are not included in course costs.

Hours:  54 classroom/lab, 44 online, 40 clinical.

Acquire the skills to provide quick response and mid-level emergency medical and trauma care to the sick or injured in the pre-hospital setting through a combination of online, classroom, acute care and field time. This course meets Idaho and NREMT standards for obtaining an EMT license. Upon successful completion of this course, students must pass state and national written and skill exams.

Exam fees are not included in course costs.

Hours: 50 classroom/lab, 80 online, 16 clinical

STUDENT REQUIREMENTS – In order to enroll in this program, you must:

  1. Be 18 years of age – verification required
  2. Have a high school diploma or equivalent – verification required
  3. Be able to pass a drug screen – A urine drug screen must be taken and passed prior to attending clinicals.
  4. Complete all of the prerequisites – NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED

PREREQUISITES - Completion of the prerequisites is required before you can officially enroll in this program. Once all of your documents have been received by Workforce Training and approved, you will be contacted to proceed with the registration process and pay the registration fee in full.

  4. EMS Online Courses – How to Complete EMS Online Courses – You must complete 3 Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) courses online. These courses are free. Certificate of completion for each course must be submitted to Workforce Training

Are you a nurse or CNA and need your HIV prevention course to practice in Washington? Or are you a health care provider and want the latest information on HIV and prevention measures and strategies? This is the course for you.

This course fulfills the 7-hour requirements for Washington State and it is completely online. Study at your own convenience in the comfort of your own home.

During this hybrid course you will learn all aspects of blood collection, including anatomy and physiology of the vascular system, medical ethics, legal issues, and venipuncture. You will also complete 100 hours of hands-on training at regional labs. Upon successful completion of this course, you are eligible to take the American Society for Clinical Pathology, Phlebotomy Technician exam.

Cost of PTB (ASCP) exam is not included in course.

This challenge test meets the entrance requirement of the LC State BSN programs for CNA, but provides no skill training prior to testing. You must have a medical background to challenge. Does not qualify you for state registry or eligibility to be titled or work as certified nursing assistant.
