Join us for a three-part Excel series taught by Doug Cruthirds! This series will build from beginner to advanced Excel skills and is a great opportunity to strengthen your Excel knowledge and learn new tools you can use in your day-to-day work.
Beginner Excel: September 30 | 2–5 PM
Intermediate Excel: October 14 | 2–5 PM
Advanced Excel: October 28 | 2–5 PM
All sessions will be held at Clearwater Hall, located downtown.

Meet with a Fidelity Workplace Financial Consultant on the LC State campus
Choose your date and time by scheduling a one-on-one meeting at https://digital.fidelity.com/prgw/digital/wos/. They will be able to help you develop a plan for your financial goals, prepare for both expected and unexpected financial needs, and review investments that are available to you.

Join the LC State Arboretum Committee for a Halloween-themed walk through some of the most interesting trees on campus! Along the way, we’ll explore the strange, spooky, and surprising side of trees—from poisonous seeds and ancient “living fossils,” trees that survive fire, and species with connections to folklore and legend. You’ll learn a little tree identification, a little campus history, and plenty of unusual tree facts. The tour will last approximately one hour and is open to anyone who would like to join us. Costumes are welcome, but certainly not required!

October challenge: get loose!
Skeletons—during spooky season and beyond—need strong bones! This month, focus on strengthening them with mobility and movement. Whether it’s (black) cat-cows on the yoga mat or a “Thriller” dance break, get loose and have fun!
Your goal: record 30 minutes of stretches, strength or movement 17 out of 21 days in October. Do that, and you’ll be entered to win
a $100 Columbia Sportswear gift card and well-being swag!
Register by Oct. 12 and participate between Oct. 2 – 25.

Warrior Wellness Release Time
Warrior Wellness Release Time is an opportunity for benefit-eligible employees to claim one hour of release time per week, without the need to utilize sick or vacation leave.
To request release time, please complete the Warrior Wellness Release Time Request Form and return to Human Resource Services.
Tuition Benefits
LC State offers tuition reduction for eligible employees, spouses, and dependent child(ren).
Employees may take courses offered at LC State. The cost is a $20 registration fee and $5 per credit. (Limitations apply at other institutions so be sure to contact them).
Eligible dependent children can receive a 50% reduction in current resident and nonresident tuition and fees at LC State.
Tuition waiver forms can be found on our Forms page and need to be completed each semester.
