LC State/Boise State University Partnership

LC State and BSU have partnered together to help students find placements in our pre-licensure BSN program.

  • Visit www.nursingcas.org to start your application or log into an existing account
    • Visit the Add Programs page to select the Lewis-Clark State College BSN (Pre-Licensure) program.
    • Complete the steps to fill out and submit your application.
    • Request official transcripts to be sent to NursingCAS from every college/university ever attended, regardless of how old the credits are. (Do NOT send transcripts to LC State Admissions)
    • Please note that to submit your application via NursingCAS you will be charged a $60 fee.
    • Many resources are available to help you complete your application, including the applicant help center
    • You can also contact NursingCAS support with questions

Decisions made by the end of March (for Fall admission) or October (for Spring admission) via email to the address you provide on NursingCAS.

Each course must be passed with a C (2.0) or better. Transfer courses must meet LCSC equivalency to be eligible. For transfer equivalencies, please visit TES:College Source.

Nursing Specific Courses:

  • Oral Communications (Idaho Core Comm 101, 203, or 204)
  • Statistics
  • Nutrition
  • Chemistry + lab
  • Microbiology + lab
  • Anatomy & Physiology I (or 1 semester of Anatomy) + lab
  • Anatomy & Physiology II (or 1 semester of Physiology) + lab

General Education Courses:

See current catalog

  • ENGL 101 and 102
  • 6 credits GEM 6, from different disciplines
  • 3 credits Diversity (UF 100 will count)
  • UF 200 counts for our Integrative Seminar: Ethics/Values

Science/Stats GPA (worth 55% of our application points)

  • Minimum 2.75 cumulative in the following courses. Only the most recent attempt is calculated.
    • Statistics
    • Chemistry + lab
    • Anat/Phys I + lab
    • Anat/Phys II + lab
    • Microbiology + lab

College GPA

  • Minimum 2.5 cumulative of ALL college credits, regardless of age

We recommend students use gpacalculator.io to verify their Science/Stats GPA before applying.

Options to fulfill BSN entry requirement:

  • Traditional CNA
  • Challenge Exam
  • Nurse Aide Skills Only Training

For Fall Admission:

  • Opens Nov. 1st (of the prior year)
  • Priority Deadline: Feb. 11
  • Final Deadline: Feb. 25

For Spring Admission:

  • Opens April 1st (of the prior year)
  • Priority Deadline: Sept. 11
  • Final Deadline: Sept. 25

Priority Deadline points are awarded for NursingCAS applications that have been submitted and FULLY VERIFIED by the priority deadline.
